Café Bar & Restaurant – Accessible Fine Dining at the Hart
You really must eat at the White Hart.
Our kitchen team, led by local chef Katie Bradley, really care about flavour and balance, everything we do from our relaxed dining ‘pub lunch’ menu to our Number Ten fine dining restaurant with taster menus is carefully prepared and beautifully presented.
If you’re staying do ask about our dinner inclusive packages.
From the hearty to the healthy, our pub menu covers most tastes …
The Pub is open every day from 11am offering a pub and terrace menu from noon Monday to Saturday.
The Pub is open every Sunday from 11am and serving Sunday Lunch from Noon until 4:30pm.
Please note : From April to October we also offer a Sunday Supper menu from 6pm to 8pm.
Lunch is a traditional 3 course menu including roasts, braises, fish and other dishes. Two or three course lunch is priced at £15 & £18. All dishes are individually priced too if you just prefer a roast.
When its fine we serve lunch outside on the terrace too and we can book a limited number of early tables outside up until 1pm.
at NUMBER TEN
Within the White Hart Ironbridge, Number Ten is an intimate 40 seat fine dining restaurant, it is also suitable for private parties.
Open Monday to Saturday 6.15pm to 9.15pm
At the White Hart Ironbridge, Number Ten is an intimate 40 seat fine dining restaurant. Two thirds of the restaurant is on the first floor gallery with large window views over the Severn and beyond. There is a small amount of seating on the ground floor too; this area also works well as a ‘semi private’ space for private parties up to 14*.
Lead by Head Chef Kate Bradley the food style is best described as modern British with hints of spice and fusion of eastern cuisines. We buy some food locally, game in particular but mostly we concentrate on buying really good quality seasonal foods. As well Kate has a small army of folk that bring in locally foraged goodies; wild garlic, berries, greens, and garden vegetables.
The menu is written weekly and updated daily with new dishes and tastes, so the sample menu is more of a guide to style of food. Email any time for an up to date menu to be sent to you. All menu items are individually priced, but with a fixed three course ‘cap’ price available.
We also love our wines. The 38 bin list is heavily dominated by old world (28 of 38) and we try to feature some lesser known grape varieties on our wine of the month section. For a beautifully balanced fruity red try our Biferno.
Number Ten has regular Taster Menu events, usually the last Friday of the month, with breaks in mid-summer and December. Check our ‘What’s On’ page for current dates. Taster Menus are seven courses, with an optional 6 wine flight to match. Examples of Taster Menus can be found on the menu page.
In 2017 the AA awarded Number Ten a rosette for culinary excellence.
Typically a significant number of our dishes can be adapted for gluten free diets, and this can be discussed with us when you arrive at the restaurant, but do please let us know when booking if you have food avoidances.
Have lots, they’re great fun. However we can’t hide from the reality that Number Ten’s menu is very child unfriendly and we don’t offer a separate children’s menu. However if you love what we do and want you children to enjoy it too then we will always do our best to accommodate with early dining times, and some menu adaptions.
The Gallery space can seat up to 40 for private dinners. We don’t charge a room hire fee but we do seek commitment to a minimum fixed spend; as a guide 25 to 30 guests taking a three course dinner with wine, from £1000. As a general rule we rarely book out the space for private use on Saturday’s evenings.
Please also note Saturday evenings for semi parties over 8 we offer only the fixed 3 course price menu and limited time slots to sit down at 7pm or 8.30pm.
